I agree with real estate expert. I had invested heavily in Bombay stock market in blue chip shares in early 2007 and due to my greed even when market was all time high, I didn't encash any shares. I waited since then and now market is at it's lowest and I can't get any profits.

The builders lobby, politicians lobby and the slum dwellers lobby with the connivance of the BMC and the State have encroached almost all open spaces and mangroves in Mumbai. With no open spaces and mangroves left during high tide and heavy rains there is bound to be water logging everywhere and the streets look like rivers and the life of the oridinary mumbaikar becomes miserable.

There is large scale urbanization in Mumbai without a care for nature.Concrete jungles erupted as eyesores all over Mumbai and mangroves simply gave way to buildings without any heed being paid to the environmentalists who were shouting from the rooftops.

The state and the BMC can create open spaces in Mumbai by relocating slum dwellers out of mumbai and from the space that is left vacant after the relocation of the slum dwellers atleast 50% should be kept open and the rest should be used for civic infrastructure and other projects. The citizens of mumbai should also take active part in protecting the few open spaces and mangroves left.
