Reason: Dispute over cost escalation

Worli Nariman Point Sea Link
Status: Bids not invited
Reason: PIL filed against project by NGO Federation of Environment and Development Organisation, which is demanding another study
Length: 13.75km
Cost: Rs4,143 crores
Bids: Not yet invited
Sewri-Nhava Seva Trans-harbour Sea Link
Status: Bids to be invited by Dec 15th 2007
Reason for delay: Reliance Energy had moved the court against MSRDC disqualifying its bid to build the bridge. Supreme Court lifted the order and extended the date for filing bids to Dec 15th 2007. High Court clearance also awaited.
Length: 22km
Cost: Rs4,000crores

BA, this is a mix of comments on a mix of posts so excuse the masshup pls. Picturise this...sometime after 11.30 p.m I'm at home in bed, swaddled in blanket, with some viral/fever etc so maybe I am delirious.

Me: What no..India Habitat Center..
(by now it is obvious we have no links whatsoever with dilli)
FM2 : Oh, ok. haus khas..that place where you get food.. Hah dekha hai , so what?
Me: Why can't we make dharavi into a haus Khaz? huh? It'd be nice nah, to have a haat.. in dharavi.. u know.. woh bombay addict blog.. dharavi..
FM3:(gently but firmly): Try to SLEEP! and stop reading Bombayaddict blog- oh well, at least for some days. Let bombay go to the dogs.. you try and get well... cover your head...
As for road project updates, "India shining" cannot build one 6 km bridge in time, one that won't collapse, that is environment friendly et al..tsk.tsk.
Between this, and even it is for a fleeting scary channel surf moment, to watch shakti kapoor on nb3, I wanna die!..then there is this song that is playing in my feverish head.
..that keeps me searching for a heart of gooold..., And I'm getting old.

Work on the worli Bandra link is underway. The government is sticking to its original end of 08 date for completion.
IJ - Thanks for that link. The original date of completion was Apr-08...so I think in any case there's been delay. Lets see how this progresses...
